What we do
Always had a yen to write but not sure where to start? Look no further.
We are a small group with varying ideas and interests and it would be lovely to have a few more people. The sessions are informal and can accommodate writers of all stages, so if you haven’t written much before, this just might be the push you need to get going.
We have published an anthology of members’ work which resulted in a substantial donation to charity, and we find and share details of competitions which could result in cash prizes, recognition of professional quality work and opportunities for engagement by commercial publishers.
Monthly meetings produce prompts for writing and reading out short stories and poetry, with humour and mutual encouragement as key factors. Oh – and tea & cakes!
