What we do
Our group consists of around a dozen members who enjoy meeting to discuss all aspects of Italian life and language: food, travel, current affairs, art, politics etc. We scan the papers, do quizzes, read articles of interest and bring in prepared presentations about subjects that appeal to us.
We don't have a teacher , but the group is multi-level so you don’t need to be hugely fluent or confident in the language, so long as you have the basics and are willing to have a go at expressing yourself in Italian. We all happily help each other out with vocabulary and translation.
We enjoy twice monthly meetings and in the past we’ve had occasional outings to restaurants, to the da Vinci exhibition in Cardiff, to local places and we’ve met in members’ homes for a shared meal and to watch films in Italian. Newcomers are very welcome.
